Meet our Founder

Hi, I’m Janice Willis, founder and director of Elderly Assist. I’m passionate about removing the stress and complications facing our older community as they downsize and move to a new home.

We know that scaling down and moving can be a struggle – physically and emotionally. My team and I understand the challenges and work alongside you with those difficult decisions. We also understand that family and friends may want to help but are just not in a position to do so.

When I set up EA in 2012 we were the first business in New Zealand to offer this specialised service to our older community. Since then we have helped hundreds of people like you downsize and move into the next phase of your retirement. We have refined and streamlined our processes and systems but we have never lost our personal touch.

Often family and friends of our older clients would ask us to move them too and so we started Moving Assist. Although not retired, many people are ‘time poor’ and appreciate the end to end moving service we are able to provide. As with Elderly Assist, our team can organise your entire move or just the parts you’d like help with.

We also operate a company called Clutterbusters helping people deal with general clutter right through to working with clinical hoarders.
